EMK Placenta Product Line

Apparently, beauty products made with placenta proteins have been published in many major magazines (see here). Within those publications, the one in Times was quite illuminating. Apparently, a number of cosmetic/beauty companies has used placenta protein either from humans or animals as an ingredient for more than a few decades now. This includes Shiseido's popular Revitalizing Cream. However, few companies dare to promote it because North Americans feel so squeamish about hearing the word "placenta". There are also some skeptics who aren't convinced that the placenta is making the difference in those beauty products. NYU Dermatology Professor, Ronald Branccacio, thinks that because of the extensive sterilization process, the moisturizing base is more likely the procuring cause of smooth skin than the placenta protein.

Yet, many people have found benefits equivalent to botox from products with placenta proteins in it! Supposedly, placenta protein is known to improve metabolic processes, accelerate tissue regeneration, and stimulate immunity, so theoretically, it helps the body rid itself of toxins, carcinogens, radio-nuclides, heavy metal salts, and other metabolic by-products.
