Eco updates: ecoSkin sale and Jujube on the runway

We had an Earth Day earlier this year, and here I am talking about being eco-friendly again. I insist on talking about it because it is important, of course!

Here are some eco-fashion updates:

- My architect-turn-fashion-designer friend, Jujube Li, has just sent her first ecological fashion collection down the runway in Singapore. Join her facebook fan group to see more pictures! Here's my favorite dress from her collection for visual interest. =P

- Hautelook is having an ecoSkin sale!! Hurry and check it out, because at 40 to 70% off, these beauties are selling out really fast!!

If you don't already know, ecoSkin is a California-based company founded by Sandy Skinner in 2007 and its mission is to provide "chic, contemporary designs for the eco-conscious but fashion-savvy woman". That is, ecoSkin uses only environmentally sustainable luxury fabrics that are woven, dyed and sewn in the USA (specifically in the Los Angeles area).

Sandy echoed Jujube when she commented that "green technology and environmental standards are still evolving and quality raw materials and dyes are scarce. All of this is challenging but worth the effort". I respect them both deeply for creating green brands that offer contemporary women the opportunity to make a positive environmental difference one purchase at a time.
