Proenza Schouler PS1: Majorly Mod "it" bags

Since 2002, Proenza Schoulder designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, have been amazingly apt at creating the effortless mod look that urban working women love to pull off day after day. Their PS1 bags ($895 - $4,250) are simple and wonderfully sleek as many of them go from day to night in a heartbeat (at least the pouchettes will). Honestly, I am in love with the bags. The python bags are so understated and luxurious, while the leather bags are just...cool. You can just imagine someone full of personality and a mind of her own carrying these bags. My favorites are the midnight and white python pouchettes, as well as the nude poncho. Available at Barneys.

In fact, I'm a little slow with finding out about Proenza's casually elegant and timelessly chic collection of bags, as PurseBlog and BagSnob has already covered them in Nov'08. Heck, we learn something new everyday, and I simply had to put my very own exclamation around these gorgeous bags.

Mary Kate Olsen and Vanessa Traina (below) has been spotted with Proenza's PS1 bag after the designers sent a bag to them. Really, the only thing anyone can complain about these bags will be that constantly opening and closing those straps is a bother, which will probably lead to many a perpetually-open strap.

For those of you who can't get enough, you will see the PS1 bags in two different colors (royal blue and brown) in the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2009 collection. The collection is extremely hot with interesting textures, and supple colors.
