1970s Wayne Clark Goddess Dress

My lust-of-the-day item is this vintage Wayne Clark Goddess Dress ($250 at Shrimpton Couture). For those of you who do not know Wayne Clark, he is Canadian and he shows up as a guest judge on Project Runway Canada.

He apprenticed with Hardy Amies and Ossie Clark in London, England. and is known for his fabric use, cut, draping, and glamorous bias-cut gowns. This goddess dress would be from one of his first collections since he started his label in the late 70's. Having had that much history in fashion, Wayne Clark's work has been put on exhibition in gallery before. Click here to read more about the inner workings of the man.

Ah, the royal blue is so amazing and the dress so easy to love. For those of you who spent money buying flowers that will die in a matter of days for your valentine, could have done better.
